One Letter Spells Hollywood Success?
Monday, May 10, 2010
Los Angeles (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) - One strongly worded letter could help aspiring stars make it in Hollywood.
At least that's what screenwriter Marguerite A Fair is hoping for.
When the scribe heard that the president of Paramount Pictures, Dennis Maguire, plans on funding 20 new low-budget films, she figured it couldn't hurt to ask for some of that cash for her own pictures.
She started www.dearparamountstudios.com, where she posted a letter attempting to convince the studio head to make one of her movies.
Fair even included a six-minute video pitch for three of her original screenplays.
She's hoping her bold move will finally get her noticed in Tinseltown.
Ther writer believes that being pro-active in the world of filmmaking is essential to moving forward, and hopefully landing a longterm career in entertainment.
Though the Hollywood bigwig may never see her online efforts, Fair feels it's worth a fair try.

Coming to California with a lifetime of experience has pivoted me to learn that it is possible later in life to reach goals with the enthusiasm of a teenager!
I've written ten screenplays, and written and published a funny non-fiction book entitled:
Telling On Myself. Presently, I am working on the sequel,
Am I Still Talking? From a perspective of humor life is not only interesting, but completely joyful. Finding laughter in each trial and tribulation is like planning for a goal on an hourly basis.
After a guest spot on Kathy Bee's Cable TV show called "Touching LIves with Kathy Bee" I am in the process of producing a weekly comical guest-segment for the show, which airs Friday nights on channel 36 in fourteen California cities.
In addition, I now have an advise column on the socal.com website, a fine online newspaper with 100,000 weekly readers. In 2004, thanks to the inspiration of Women in Film, I will begin the pre-production process for a short film called
Roberta's Choice. After two decades of rising above the pain and conflict of dealing with a mentally ill husband who passed away last year; I've advanced to a new layer of my life. Motivational speaking is added to my list of pursuits. My mission in life is to inspire people to pursue their dreams, regardless of what age they are! There is truly joy to be found in each day. It is never too late to start over again.
